Started by moby74 · 4 months ago

  • Eh I still remember listening to Perfect 10's "Say It With Music" with one finger poised to press the 'record' button on my tape recorder lehhhh.... Couldn't afford to buy cassette tapes as and when I like ($8.50 was almost a week's allowance??) so had to mix own tapes haha! Also remember back then my uncles used to make lists of songs they like (along the likes of Whitesnake, Warrant, Scorpion, Deep Purple...mat rock habis!) and get this fella at Queensway to mix for them. Those were the days eh? Might go take a looksee at this Muxtape.

    Current earworm: A 'Hi-5' song...HALP!
  • Wow, been a while since I heard the abbreviation "TDK"!!! :D Used to buy those, record music off the air, record my voice, record people's conversations when they weren't aware of... *hahahaa* Those were the days.

It was my dad who started me off on this mixtape thing. Ya, back then copyright, DRM and what not was non-existent, so just give the aunty at the casette shop a list of songs, pick out the quality and length of the blank tape and viola! You got yourself a compilation album.

TDK is da bomb! Record people's conversations eh? Macam spy liddat. Too bad those days no podcast. It'll be interesting to record our conversations and let the world hear them.
